Baseball Fact

Hatton hosted one of the only four North Dakota baseball games which have lasted 20 or more innings. One Friday evening, June 18, 1971, the home Hatton Post #20 Flyers team defeated the visiting Hillsboro Post team 4-3 in 20 innings when Randy ``Juicy`` Johnson hit a triple and scored on an error. The other three North Dakota games were in Devils Lake in 1891, Cooperstown in 1907, and Berthold in 1916.
